At this point in the production process, the fabric remains in its as-woven condition directly after being removed from the loom. No chemical binders, protective layers, or surface treatments have been applied to either side of the fabric. The glass fiber yarns that form the mesh keep their original texture, surface characteristics, and structural form as they were after yarn formation. Any sizing originally present on the glass fibers from the earlier manufacturing stage may still remain, but no additional coating or stabilization chemistry has been introduced.
